The parties in this case were: Attorney General on behalf of the Crown Informant; Robert Girdwood, The Rev. Alexander Cumming and William Cumming Plaintiffs; Lewis Pugh Pugh Defendant. The case was concerned with Pugh's grazing, mineral and other rights on his land. Some of the dispute seemed to centre on ancient banks and boundaries, like in the Attorney General v. Waddingham case; it is possible that this document was used by Waddingham's representatives in that suit. Also mentioned are Thomas Phipps Thomas and James Stride, who had leased mines on the Hafod Estate.
