Administrative History:
Saint Albans, Tyglyn, was built as a private chapel in 1809. It closed in 1883 and Llanddewi Aber-arth became the parish church of the united benefice. For related material, see the list of Llanddewi Aber-arth parochial records

Scope and Content:
1. Copy conveyance, 10 June 1809, of Rhose Tavarn in the parish of Llandysul by the Rev. Alban Thomas Jones Gwynne of Ty Glyn to the Bishop of St Davids, David Davies and John Saunders on condition that they will permit the minister appointed to the chapel to receive the rents of the land. Endorsed ‘Attested Copy Deed for Endowing a Chappel at Ty-Glyn in the county of Cardigan’

2. Copy of The London Gazette, 28 July 1882, recording the recommendation of the Ecclesiastical Commissioners that the advowson to the benefice Saint Alban Tyglyn should be transferred from William John Davies of Tyglyn to the Bishop of St Davids

3. Licence of the Rev. Henry Morgan, clerk, as perpetual curate of Saint Alban Tyglyn, 1 May 1883
