Account book.

Also contains an almanack for 1847, and the fly leaf is inscribed "Mr. James

Mathias, Plastrer, Lewis Teres, Aberystwyth". Identified on the 1851 census

as James Lewis aged 60, plasterer of [2] Lewis Terrace, Aberystwyth, or his

son, also called James.

The contents include payments to servants, and for servants' apparel ( clogs

etc.) and personal purchases. Also payments to masons, and for agricultural

items. Much of the book appears to deal with the area from Llwyndafydd to

Llannarth.
