Records of Llandyssul Rural District Council,

Council records by the Chief Executive,

Ceredigion District Council, 21st November 1975.

Llandyssul Rural District Council was created under the

provisions of the Local Government Act of 1894. The

district comprised the parishes of Bettws Evan, Brongwyn,

Henllan, Llandyfriog, Llandyssul, Llanfair Orllwyn, Llanfair

Treflygen, Llangranog, Llangynllo, Orllwyn Teifi (Bangor

Teifi), Penbryn and Troedyraur. In 1934 the rural district

of Llandyssul amalgamated with that of Cardigan to form the

Teifiside rural district.

The records were formerly listed as SRD/7.
