Archifdy Ceredigion ArchivesRural District Councils - Lampeter - IntroductionACC. 24, 25, 383 Ref: LPR.Records of Lampeter Rural District Council. Lampeter Rural District Council was created under the provisions of tiie Local Government Act of 1894. The district comprised the parishes of Bettws Bledrws, Cellan, Lampeter rural, Llanfairclydogau, Llangybi, Llanwenog, Llanwnen, Silian and Trefilan. In 1934 the Rural District Councils of Lampeter and Aberaeron were amalgamated to form Aberayron Rural District Council. The records were transferred to the record office as follows: ACCs. 24, 25 by the Chief Executive of Ceredigion District Council, 8th August 1975; formerly listed as SRD/5. ACC.383 from the National Library of Wales, 5th July Ì983. In addition, certain RDC records were located among the records of the Cardiganshire Boards of Guardians (CBG) transferred to the record office from the National Library of Wales, January 1986.
