NATURE AND CONTENT: Schedules of the Deeds, Documents and Papers relating to Hafod Estate.
ASSOCIATED MATERIAL: Schedule H/G4/6 (which see) lists some documents as being amongst the deeds belonging to Mrs. Richardson, which were acquired by R. Holder in 1973 when he purchased the freehold of Myherin Forest; they were not included in R. Holder’s papers (now series G of the Hafod collection) handed over to the Forestry Commission and subsequently deposited in Ceredigion Record Office. Amongst others, it lists the missing contents of file H/E4 and the missing originals of documents in file H/B10.

NATURE AND CONTENT: List of papers belonging to the Hafod Estate: Copy Schedule of Deeds, Documents and Papers which were delivered to Mr. Martin for Lady Willoughby de Broke on the completion of her Mortgage. The miscellaneous documents listed were clearly not present when Rawson and Best arranged the Hafod documents into bundles, because they do not appear in their schedule (D/15/1). One must suppose that they were handed back at some later date. Many of them do clearly belong with Rawson and Best’s bundles and so they have been incorporated into them. This has been noted in the Associated Materials field in their listing, when they can be identified. However, this has not been done in the case of counterparts of residential leases; there are multiple copies of some of these in the collection, many scheduled in D/15/1 and it would be impossible to determine which particular copy was amongst the documents listed in the present schedule. It must also be noted that some of these leases appear to be missing. ASSOCIATED MATERIAL: Compare also schedule H/G4/6.
