ADX/37/1Further mortgage by bargain and sale made between Evan Griffiths of Aberystwyth, co. Cardigan, gentleman, and Richard Humphreys of Abermaide, p. Llanychaiarn, co. Cardigan, gentleman. Premises - piece of ground on the east side of Weeg Street, Aberystwyth, measuring 33 feet by 74 feet, with two dwelling houses occupied by William Scandrett and David Jones. Consideration - £300.
Premises insured for £500 with the British Fire Office, London. Signed and sealed by both parties.
Witnessed by Henry Lewis, attorney, Aberystwyth, and David Harris, clerk to Henry Lewis.
Endorsed with receipt for £30, signed by Evan Griffiths, Endorsed also with notice of attornment of David Jones of Aberystwyth, shopkeeper, and Thomas Wells of Aberystwyth, victualler. (Damaged)

1.) Jenkin Jones of 46, High Street Southwark, County of Surrey , gent.
2.) James Jenkins of the town of Aberystwyth, County of Cardigan, shoemaker.
Premises: the two dwelling houses standing on a piece of land at the East side of Weeg Street (Pier Street) Aberystwyth.
Term: for as long as Jenkin Jones and his heirs and assigns are mortgagees in possession.
Consideration: £46 per annum to be paid in equal half yearly payments on 29 September and 25 March.
Conditions: the lessee shall maintain the premises. The lessor retains the right of entry. The lessee and lessor shall insure the property against damage by fire.
