Programmes for concerts and other events in Aberystwyth. This may be the collection of Edna Jones who was a piano accompanist and organist, and who features in many (possibly all) of the events. Item 1, an early ?19th c. music manuscript, came from the same source.

MUS/60/1.
Letter posted from Verona, Italy to ‘Miss King, 26 Mall, Clifton, Bristol, Inghilterra’ containing 6 lines of manuscript music and words to the Italian song ‘Quel mazzolin di fiori’, apparently an unknown (possibly specially composed for the lady?) version of the verse. Letter was sealed with wax (plain) and appears to date from the early 19th century or a little earlier.

[The ‘Tommy Trouble Gang’ was the central feature of ‘Welsh Rarebit’ a travelling Variety show touring to Second World War troops and expatriates, which began in 1941. Welsh Rarebit became a BBC radio programme and eventually transferred to television in the 1950s] Presented under the auspices of the Aberystwyth Bowling Club.
