Family Bible of the Webley (later Webley-Parry) family. W. H. Webley-Parry’s bookplate with his armorial bearings at rear. Entries of births, marriages and deaths of the Webleys at beginning covering dates 1801-1870. References to Parc-y-Gors, Blaenpant, Noyadd Trefawr. 1801-1927
Large volume bound in red leather with gold decoration. No date but contains ‘A Table of the Moveable Feasts calculated for fourty years’ spanning 1681-1720.

Family Bible of the Webley Hope family. Contains family names and dates from c. 1861 to 1927, beginning with the marriage of Charles Webley Hope and Ellen Evelyn Elizabeth Jordan on 23 April 1861 at St. Mary’s Church, Cheltenham. Also lists the births of their eight children.
Large black bound volume, Oxford University Press 1866. 3 embroidered bookmarks (blue and cream).

Bible belonging to Ellen Evelyn Elizabeth Jordan of Pigeonsford. Dedication from Charles Webley Hope to Ellen, his future wife: ‘Ellen Evelyn Elizabeth Jordan, Pigeonsford March 25th 1858. With the most earnest prayers for her future happiness and welfare from Charles W. Hope’. Later inscription: ‘Robin Omglas, April 30 1951. This bible belonged to […] great Grandmother 1858.’
